IT Help Desk Support Technician

SUMMARY: The Help Desk Technician is responsible for day to day hardware, software, telephony, and LAN support. RESPONSIBILITIES: Respond to and manage help desk tickets under current SLAs. Prioritize workload based on severity of impact. Order necessary equipment to support the business; software and hardware. Ensure backups are performed as scheduled daily. Maintain asset inventory management system. Facilitate onboarding and offboarding of personnel. Work with 3rd party vendors (AT&T, Security Card Reader, Copier support, Application support, Central Building Security, Time Warner cable). Set up audio/visual equipment for town hall meetings and offsite meetings. Reconcile monthly IT purchases. Maintains supporting documention/Standard Operating Procedures. Provide help desk metrics. QUALIFICATIONS: Comp TIA A certification 2-3 years experience in a technical help desk support environment Computer troubleshooting skills & experience; Windows OS, Microsoft Office Suite, install/configure new laptops and PCs, handling malware threats, upgrade computer components as required, remote desktop support experience (TeamViewer) Setting up user provisions (security and email) Knowledge of telephony PBX, VOIP systems Experience with managing 3rd party vendors Must possess logical and methodical problem-solving skills Great organizational skills; prioritizing and multitasking abilities Self-motivated individual who can prioritize projects, issues and tasks and work under minimum supervision Excellent written and verbal communication and listening skills Must possess and utilize good interpersonal skills Flexibility in work hours based upon company needs Team player and willingness to learn
