Job Description Job #: 865566 This position is part of a 24x7x365 staff that provides frontline communications, monitoring, support, diagnosis, resolution and coordination asu00a0second tier support. Job Requirements/Preferences (Education, Experience, Knowledge, Skills) u2022u00a0Formal education in Computer Science or a related field or equivalent experience in real time systems environments and technologies is required. A four year college degree with a major in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or MIS preferred. u2022u00a0Requires excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively in both an oral and written manner u2022u00a0Ability to apply excellent customer service skills u2022u00a0Ability to meet Critical Infrastructure Protection (CIP), Sarbanes-Oxley and other federal regulatory compliance requirements. u2022 Working knowledge of Windows based operating systems required u2022 Working knowledge of Solaris, AIX or other UNIX based operating systems required u2022 Working knowledge of distributed computer networks including but not limited to: routers, switches, hubs and firewalls. u2022u00a0Ability to build and maintain relationships with key customers u2022u00a0Ability to work nights, weekends and holidays as a part of rotating shift u2022u00a0Critical thinking/Problem solving abilities Job Responsibilities u2022u00a0Day to day monitoring of Spectrum 3, and ancillary systems for health and availability u2022u00a0Front line problem resolution and coordination of repairs withu00a0Department Personnel u2022u00a0Follow front line problem resolution procedures outlined byu00a0Department personnel in the case of system maintenance or outages u2022u00a0Notification of key customers for the coordination of system outages and events that may impact other critical areas of u2022u00a0Provide input to the Team Lead and Supervisor on continual process improvement and customer feedback u2022u00a0Thoroughly track and document cases to completion with the help ofu00a0Department personnel u2022u00a0Implementu00a0policies to ensure 24 hour secure access to data centers containingu00a0computer equipment u2022u00a0Day to day monitoring and support of Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery systems
