DirectVizSolutions is a high-level, strategic consulting services firm that meetsmission needs for commercial and government clients. We are looking to hire aHelp Desk Specialist. The work location will be Seaside, CA. and requires an active Secret clearance.
Handle IT incidents and requests received via telephone, email, or the Help Desk ticketing application;
Log Incidents through the Help Desk ticketing application and managing/prioritizing workload;
Provide tier 1 technical support for both classified and unclassified environments using documented procedures and available tools;
Use troubleshooting techniques and tools to resolve help desk and follow guidelines in issuing service calls / contacts;
Escalate problems when unable to make proper determination;
Advise and educate customers within procedural guidelines to ensure a complete solution to their technical or service questions;
Identify and provide input on unique or recurring customer problems;
Provide tier 1 support for inquiries pertaining to desktop issues, application software and/or hardware, user account security, communications, system policy guidance, laptops, software, printers, document scanners, audio-visual equipment, handheld devices, network service outages/disruptions and enterprise server outages/disruptions;
Strive for a high level of first contact resolution;
Deliver consistently high levels of customer service;
Administer remote user accounts
Mustpossess SECRET clearance for access to classified areas
Bachelor'sDegree in Computer Information Systems or Computer Science preferred
Experiencein an end user based or help desk environment
Security certification required; must be gained within 6 months of employment
Workingknowledge of SharePoint preferred
InformationTechnology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) foundation certificate preferred
U.S.Citizenship is required
Proficientin Microsoft Outlook experience required
Goodunderstanding of Microsoft Office 2010 products
Excellent communication skills;
Ability to diagnose the cause of problems in a complex environmentand to provide effective solutions quickly;
Self-motivated and ability to work on own initiative ina pressure environment.
