IT Desktop Support Tech TRVJP3571 Contract Position Richardson, TX This is a Monday-Friday position with normal hours (8-5). Some OT may be required. Roles/Responsibilities: Performs activities related to installation and/or network operations Provides hardware refresh and upgrade support for the field office. Responsible for migration of existing users to new hardware while maintaining user data integrity and business continuity Includes advanced diagnostics, technical analyses. Performs configuration and testing for workstations and associated adjunct equipment in a Windows 7 environment utilizing Microsoft SCCM. Provides on-site technical support for activities associated with the implementation, installation and move of network and distributed technologies. Demonstrate working knowledge of workstations, configurations and operating systems (Active Directory, Excel, Word, Access, MS System Center Console Management, MS Deployment Tool). Demonstrate advanced hardware knowledge. Demonstrate working knowledge of SCCM Environment and LOB build images. Problem Solving & Decision Making, Business Knowledge & Partnership, Self -Management, Leadership, Planning & Project Management, Organization and Communication skills are required. Knowledge of Remedy, and IT Asset Management are desirable. Accurately assesses and understands customer needs and works with sense of urgency to satisfy those needs within negotiated time frames. Able to interface effectively with customers and CORE IS areas in customer service/support situations. Able to isolate and resolve most PC hardware and software problems within established guidelines. Demonstrates effective skills in managing their activities and participation within team environment. May impact the local systems, networks, and applications used by employees, agents and customers across all business units to perform their daily business functions. Able to plan, coordinate and provide on-site support of problem resolution activities and small projects associated with the implementation/installations of technology. Able to adjust priorities to account for changes in business needs. Incorrect project installation or delayed problem resolution may result in customer downtime, directly impacting profitability.
