SUMMARY

Bering Straits Information Technology, LLC, a subsidiary of Bering Straits Native Corporation is currently seeking a qualified SharePoint Help Desk Technician in Washington, DC. This position

will provide end-user support for SharePoint 2010 environment. This involves logging and prioritizing tickets via BMC Remedy and ensuring Services Level Agreements (SLAs) requirements are met.

Knowledge of SharePoint 2010, Office 365 as well as, strong customer service and communication skills are critical success factors for this role.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

The Essential Duties and Responsibilities are intended to present a descriptive list of the range of duties performed for this position, and are

not

intended to reflect all duties performed within the job.

Provide customer support for all SharePoint sites supported by SIO.

Act as a primary contact between customers and the technical staff.

Provide Tier II/III support as required.

Troubleshoot and correct problems and act as a resource for all users.

Develop and maintain continuity of operations documentation.

QUALIFICATIONS - EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION AND CERTIFICATION

Required (Minimum) Qualifications

Must be able to obtain/maintain Secret Level Clearance

1 years of Customer Support experience

1 years’ Help Desk Specialist experience in a multi-server environment

1 years of SharePoint experience

Associates Degree or equivalent work experience

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, and Other Characteristics

Knowledge of customer support

Knowledge of SharePoint

Preferred

One plus (1 ) years of training/conducting workshops; will provide training to DoS SharePoint Users both beginners and advanced.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

Work Environment characteristics described here are representative of those that must be borne by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. 

Job is performed in an office setting with exposure to computer screens and requires extensive use of a computer, keyboard, mouse and multi-line telephone system. The work described herein is primarily a modern office setting. Occasional travel may be required.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

No supervisory responsibilities.

ADDITIONAL QUALIFYING FACTORS

As a condition of employment, may be required to pass a pre-employment drug screening, as well as have acceptable reference and background check results to obtain access to military base. Must have reliable transportation to/from work a necessity and must be able to obtain access to military installations.
