You will have the opportunity to join a small but experienced IT team and to make an impact quickly, have direct exposure to key leaders in the organization and contribute to the growth and expansion of the company.The Service Desk Analysts role is to provide the first level of support for all incoming incidents and requests for all Restaurant Technologies’ employees and contractors so that end users can accomplish business tasks. This includes receiving, prioritizing, documenting, and actively resolving end user incidents and requests. Problem resolution will involve the use of diagnostic and help request tracking tools, as well as require that the individual give in-person, hands-on help at the desktop level.Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesIdentify and learn software and hardware used and supported by the organizationUnderstand functions of IT-Applications and IT-Operations teams and learn what the resources are responsible forBuild rapport and elicit problem details from Service Desk customersField incoming incidents and requests from end users via telephone, e-mail, and walk up in a courteous and respectful mannerDocument all pertinent end user identification information, including name, department, contact information, and nature of problem or issuePrioritize work and follow escalation proceduresDocument problem-solving process and actions taken through to final resolutionApply diagnostic utilities to aid in troubleshootingUtilize other resources as needed to aid in problem resolutionPerform hands-on fixes at the desktop level when applicableTest fixes to ensure problem has been adequately resolvedPerform post-resolution follow-ups to all incidents and requestsCompetenciesManages customer situations; Responds promptly to customer needs; Solicits customer feedback to improve service; Responds to requests for service and assistance; Meets commitments.Must learn quickly and retain knowledgeSpeaks clearly and persuasively in positive or negative situations; listens and gets clarification; responds well to questions.Comfortable talking\/listening on phone, taking notes, and having persistent noise in the backgroundAbility to assess priority and maximize productivity to deliver the most efficient customer serviceAbility to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
