Job Description

Summary:

Our level I Systems Administrators work on our client support help desk team providing direct support for our clients as needed.

Duties & Expectations:

Client Support

* Work Level 1-4 support tickets from open to completion

* Be the first point of contact for clients, confidently responding to incoming telephone and email inquiries

* Escalate any support tickets that need further investigation or higher level of support

* Focus on root-cause discovery on issues and make suggestions when managed services can provide larger scale fixes

* Provide assistance to level II System Administers and professional services team

Training and Development

* Maintain capability to troubleshoot issues on MS Windows and Mac OS X platforms.

* Maintain capability to implement new Windows workstations on large networks.

* Maintain basic understanding of networking core concepts, especially TCP/IP and Ethernet.

* Acquire more fundamental networking knowledge.

Skills/Qualifications:

Education

* College degree or equivalent experience.

Technical Skills

* Experience with Windows Server 2000 -- 2016

* Experience with Microsoft Exchange

* Experience with O365

* Experience with Microsoft 2000 -- 10 Workstation Support

* Experience with Microsoft SQL

* Basic Understanding of Mac OS X Server/Workstation Support

* Basic Understanding of Linux/Unix Server Support

* Basic Networking Concepts -- TCP/IP, Ethernet, LAN/WAN/WLAN

Other Skills

* Ability to communicate effectively in written and verbal forms

* Critical thinking and troubleshooting skills

* MSP experience or prior help desk support a plus

Experience

* At least 3 years real-world experience
