As an IT Help Desk Technician, you are responsible for all aspects of IT support of our small and medium sized business customers. This includes but is not limited to:
1. Managing network monitoring software and responding to raised alerts
2. Responding to service requests remotely and resolving the issue
3. Preforming preventive maintenance on our customer’s servers and workstations
4. Building new computers and servers in preparation for installation
5. Manage physical warehouse inventory and place and track orders
6. Emergency onsite support as last resort if field technicians are not available
Throughout this process, you will be continuing to grow your skill-set while working with cutting edge technologies!
You will evaluate, design, document, install, implement, test, and perform problem isolation and resolution; and monitor, tune, set standards and maintain a range of computer network components and systems.
On a Daily Basis:
· Highly self-motivated and directed
· Attention to detail (A healthy dose of OCD is required!)
· Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment
· Exceptional customer service orientation
· Ability to look for sales opportunities and upsell customers
· Ability to follow written and verbal directions
· Great organization and documentation skills
· Some night and weekend work required
Must Have 4 Plus Years’ Experience:
· In an IT technician role
· Hands-on experience with hardware/software
· Microsoft Systems Engineering
· Building servers and workstations
· Solid understanding of networking, routers, and firewall technologies
Desired Education
· AS or BS in Computer Science or related field
Desired Certifications:
· CompTIA A , Network , or Security
· Microsoft Certified System Engineer (MCSE)
· Microsoft Certified IT Professional (MCITP)
· Microsoft Certified Professional (MCP)
· VMware Certified Professional (VCP)
Relevant Work Experience/Ideal Candidate will have:
· Planning, troubleshooting, network maintenance, performance analysis, and report generation
· Planning and implementing systems upgrades, hardware, software, OS, and applications
· Experience implementing disaster recovery solutions for Windows based workstations, services, & servers
· Troubleshooting hardware and software issues in order to ensure maximum up-time of windows servers and windows desktops
· Experience with Patch Management with in Windows Server Update Services (WSUS)
· Experience with Windows Management Instrumentation (WMI) and Simple Network Management Protocol (SNMP)
· Experience configuring and administering mobile devices (iPhone, iPad, Blackberry, Android)
· Experience in configuring and maintaining Windows 2008/2012/2016 Server Environments
· Experience in configuring and maintaining Exchange Server
2007/2010/2013/2016
· Experience installing, configuring and maintaining Windows desktop operating systems (Windows 10, Windows 8, Windows 7, Vista, XP)
· Experience in configuring and supporting SharePoint
2003/2007/2010/2013/2016
· Experience with Virtualization – VMware vSphere and/or Microsoft Hyper-V
· Experience in Microsoft Windows
2003/2008/2012/2016
Active Directory & Group Polices
· Experience with network printers and troubleshooting printing problems
· Excellent problem solving and analytical skills, including ability to generate and interpret documents
operating/maintenance
instructions, and procedure manual
· Experience in providing mid-level technical support (level 1, level 2, etc.)
